Our Women in Construction program empowers women to build successful careers in the skilled trades. Through hands-on training, supportive services, and career placement assistance, we provide the tools and opportunities needed to break barriers and achieve economic security.

OUR CLASSES

Moore Community House Women in Construction offers the following classes and programs.
All classes are free to eligible participants. 

Women in Trades 101

2 Weeks 
  • Monday - Friday, hybrid (partly in-person, partly online)
  • Heavy Equipment Operator Card
  • OSHA 10hr Construction Completion Card
  • ​Case Management Services
  • Supportive Services
*Credentials may vary by class. 

General Industry Pre-Apprenticeship

9 Weeks
  • Monday - Thursday
  • NCCER Core Curriculum (National Center for Construction Education & Research)
  • OSHA 10hr General Industry Completion Card
  • WinC 280hr Curriculum Pre-Apprenticeship Completion Certificate
  • Childcare Assistance for eligible participants (subject to available funding)
  • Case Management Services
  • Supportive Services 

Advanced Leadership

Schedule Varies by Class
  • Graduates of the General Industry Pre-Apprenticeship class may be invited to participate in Advanced Leadership classes offered by Women in Construction or other authorized training providers. Trainings vary by class.

Approved Partner Training (Ingalls / MGCCC)

Schedule Provided by Ingalls / MGCCC
  • Training provided by Ingalls or MGCCC
  • Supportive Services provided by Women in Construction
    • Case Management Services​
    • Weekly stipend to assist with transportation costs
    • Financial assistance for required tools, clothing, and PPE
